Therme Group Europe is responsible for the design, construction and operation of Therme Group resorts across mainland Europe. Along with Therme Group’s long-term strategic partner Wund Holding (operating as Thermengruppe Josef Wund), Therme Group Europe welcomes millions of guests to its resorts every year.
Therme Group’s projects in Europe build on the long tranditions of thermal and mineral bathing in the region, from Ancient Roman baths and historical spa towns to contemporary Scandinavian sauna concepts and popular wellbeing festivals. As the home of the contemporary ‘therme’ concept, the technologies of Therme Group have been deployed in wellbeing resorts throughout Germany for more than 20 years.
In 2016, Therme Group opened its flagship project in Bucharest, Romania. Welcoming 8,000+ guests per day, Therme Bucharest is one of Europe’s largest wellbeing destinations and the only facility of its kind to be awarded a LEED Platinum for sustainability certification. Its features include sustainable geothermal heating and state-of-the-art water filtration systems which drastically reduce per-person water use.
All Therme Group’s future projects across Europe and beyond will be designed to this high standard of sustainability.
Working with Wund Holding, Therme Group Europe is developing a new project in Bad Vilbel, part of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main metropolitan area. Once completed, the project will be Germany’s largest Thermal Resort with a 111,000 sqm floor area and peak visitation of 20,000+ guests per day. Further to this, Therme Group Europe has several other projects in the pipeline across the continent.
